Essential Qualification (Mandatory) Masters Degree in Home Science or Social Work or Sociology or Psychology from a recognised University

Age Relaxation: Available for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Communities as per Kerala PSC rules. Maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years in any case.
4% Reservation for Differently Abled Candidates 4% of total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as per GO (P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 and GO (P) No. 11/2025/SJD dated 15.08.2025.
Training & Probation

3 Months Mandatory Training Candidates appointed by direct recruitment shall undergo a 3-month training programme as issued by the Director of Women and Child Development. Training period counts for all service benefits.

2 Years Probation Period From the date of joining duty, every appointee shall be on probation for 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
