Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Pass in Higher Secondary Education Examination (Plus Two / +2) or its equivalent from a recognised Board.
Technical Qualification — Valid Driving License
Must possess a current valid Driving License for: Motorcycle with Gear, Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), Heavy Passenger Vehicles (HPV), and Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) with Driver’s Badge.
Practical Driving Test
Proficiency in driving LMV / HPV / HGV must be proved in a practical test conducted by Kerala PSC during the selection process.

Weightage marks for SPC Certificate holders as per GO (MS) No.06/2025/P&RD dated 01.03.2025.
Training & Probation

9 Months Pre-Service Training
Every selected candidate must undergo pre-service training for 9 months in Armed Police Battalions / Police Training College / Kerala Police Academy as decided by the State Police Chief.

2 Years Probation
Every person appointed shall be on probation for 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining.

Security Bond Required
Every selected candidate must execute a security bond binding themselves to serve the State Government for the required period after successful completion of training.
Important Notes
Differently Abled candidates are NOT eligible to apply in response to this notification.
Valid Driving License must be maintained at all stages of the selection process including the last date of application receipt.
Physical measurements are taken before the PET. Candidates not meeting standards will not be admitted to the PET.
Ranked list shall be in force for one year from date of finalization. No minimum period clause applies here.
