Educational Qualifications
- A Pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination.
- B Government approved 2-year National/State Trade Certificate in Electrician or Wireman trade.
- C Physical Standards โ see the section below.
Note: Qualifications recognised as equivalent by Government executive/standing orders are also accepted. Produce G.O. copies when required.
Physical Standards & Fitness Test

Normal โ free from colour blindness๐ช Pole Climbing Test
Must ascend & descend a 9-metre electric pole within 8 minutes. Assessed during the KPSC Practical Test.
โ๏ธ Medical Certificate Required: Candidates must submit a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon, confirming height, normal vision (free from colour blindness), and physical fitness for outdoor work.
Important Notes & Rules
1
The ranked list prepared shall remain in force for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years.

Candidates must apply for only one district. Applying to multiple districts will result in removal from all ranked lists and disciplinary action.

Selection is on a Revenue District basis. A candidate appointed in one district is not eligible for transfer to another district until completing 5 years of continuous service (G.O. (MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971 & G.O. (MS) No.36/91/PD dated 02.12.1991).

For candidates appointed in Idukki, Wayanad, and Kasaragod: no working arrangement, deputation, transfer, or mutual transfer is allowed for at least 10 years. Promotion will also be limited to those districts. (G.O(Ms) No. 6/2026/P&ARD dated 22.01.2026)

4% of total vacancies are reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as per G.O(Rt) No. 136/2025/SJD dated 06.06.2025.

Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any district are prohibited from applying again; they may apply for higher/lower posts when notified.
How to Apply โ Step-by-Step

Visit www.keralapsc.gov.in and complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.

Log in with your User-ID and Password. Add your AADHAAR card as Identity Proof in your profile.

Upload a recent passport-size photograph (taken within 6 months). The photo is valid for 10 years once uploaded.

Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button under Category No. 21/2026, choose your preferred district, and submit.

Submit a confirmation for the written/OMR/Online Test within the stipulated period once the exam programme is published.

Download your Admission Ticket from your profile (available 15 days before the test date).

Keep a printout or soft copy of the submitted application for future reference. Quote your User-ID in all communications.
โน๏ธ No Application Fee. Last date: 03 June 2026 (Wednesday) up to 12 Midnight. Application once submitted cannot be deleted or altered.
