The High Court of Kerala has released an official notification inviting online applications from qualified Indian citizens for direct recruitment to the post of Office Attendant. Candidates can apply only through the official recruitment portal — no other mode of application will be accepted.

♿ Reservation for Differently Abled (PwD) Candidates

As per G.O.(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023, 4% of vacancies in the Office Attendant category are reserved for eligible differently abled candidates.

Additional Age Relaxation

• Ex-servicemen / ex-GREF / disembodied Territorial Army personnel: Can exclude their period of service plus unemployment period on discharge (up to 5 years), provided they have not completed age 50.
• Blindness & Low Vision, Deaf & Hard of Hearing: Up to 15 years relaxation (upper limit capped at 50 years).
• Other benchmark disability categories: Up to 10 years relaxation (upper limit capped at 50 years).
• Widows: Up to 5 years relaxation (upper limit capped at 50 years).

🎓 Educational Qualification

Important points regarding qualification:

• Qualification must be acquired on or before the closing date of the online application.
• Candidates claiming an equivalent qualification must produce the relevant Government Order proving equivalence when called for.
• Qualifications declared equivalent by the Government after the notification date will not be accepted for this selection.
• Candidates shortlisted for interview must submit an affidavit confirming they had not acquired graduation as on the closing date of the application. The affidavit format is available under the “Downloads” section of the recruitment portal.

📝 Mode of Selection

Selection is based on a Written Test followed by an Interview.

Written Test Pattern

Interview

The interview carries 10 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 35% in the interview to be included in the final ranked list. The number of candidates shortlisted for interview is decided by the High Court based on notified vacancies, past appointment trends, and the likelihood of further vacancies arising.

💳 Application Fee

Note: Bank transaction charges, if applicable, must be borne by the candidate. Payment by Demand Draft, Cheque, Money Order or Postal Order will not be accepted. Fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be held in reserve for another exam.

📍 Examination Centres

The written test will be conducted at the following centres. Candidates must choose their preferred centre while filling the online application — no change of centre is entertained under any circumstances, and the High Court reserves the right to add, delete, or reallot a centre at its discretion.

✍️ Scribe & Compensatory Time for Differently Abled Candidates

• Candidates whose writing speed is affected may avail scribe facility — this must be opted for at the time of online application; no request will be entertained later.
• Scribe use is governed by High Court guidelines; candidates must produce a medical certificate and declaration in the prescribed format at the time of the test. The scribe’s qualification must be one step below the minimum qualification prescribed for the post.
• Differently abled candidates (whether or not availing a scribe) get 25 minutes compensatory time on producing the prescribed medical certificate confirming a physical limitation to write.

🖥️ How to Apply Online

1. Complete “One Time Registration” on www.hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in using the “One Time Registration Login” link. Read the notification and “How to Apply” page carefully first.
2. Keep scanned images of your photograph (face & shoulder clearly visible, face centrally focused, white/light background) and signature ready before starting.
3. Fill in all required details under “My Profile”.
4. Click “Apply Now” from the Dashboard and proceed as instructed on screen.
5. Carefully check the preview of your application — no edits, changes, or modifications are allowed after submission.
6. Complete payment of application fee (online or offline) — this is the final and mandatory step; an application without fee payment is incomplete.
7. Download and retain a printout of the submitted application for your own records (not to be sent to the High Court).

Admission Tickets & Call Letters

• Login to your profile to download Admission Tickets/Call Letters — no separate delivery is made.
• Admission Tickets for the written test are available 3 weeks before the test date; Call Letters for interview are available 2 weeks before the interview. You will be intimated by SMS/email.
• If you cannot download your ticket, contact the High Court at 0484-2562235 at least one week before the test/interview.
• Using an edited or modified Admission Ticket/Call Letter will lead to disqualification and debarment.
